About me

I design the stuff people stop for.

I grew up in Mexico City and have designed in English and Spanish from the start. Now I call Colorado Springs home. I'm a full-on extrovert and a proud yapper, and I'll probably ask about your weekend before we ever talk fonts.

That's on purpose. Before I open Illustrator or Canva, I want to know who you are and who you're trying to reach, so the finished piece looks and sounds like you.

In 13+ years, I've worked that way on everything from bilingual flyers at a community health center to SaaS conference booths and a full rebrand for a national environmental justice nonprofit. Come say hi. I promise to listen as much as I talk.

How I see it

Every piece has someone on the other end, and I picture them first. Maybe that's someone scrolling past a new collection on their phone, or a parent reading a flyer in a clinic waiting room with a toddler on their lap. Either way, my job is to make the important thing easy to spot and fun to look at.

I don't do it alone. The best work I've made came out of a room full of opinions, and I like it that way. I ask a lot of questions up front, share rough versions early, and keep checking we're solving the right problem. Hand me a round of edits and I'll say thank you and mean it. A good note makes the piece better, and I'd rather hear it now than after it prints.

Words are part of the job too. I write and edit copy alongside the design, so the headline, the layout, and the call to action get decided together. When something's outside what I know, I say so and go find the person who does. If the parent in the waiting room reads the whole flyer, I did my job.

Recent work

Eight pieces from the last few years. Each one started as a message that had to land fast, and grew into a family of pieces that still looks like one brand. Click any of them to look closer.
